20 zł 80th Anniversary of the Outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising

The front of the note:

on the left, silhouettes of insurgents on a barricade, against the PAST (Polish Telephone Joint Stock Company) building in flames in Zielna Street in Warsaw. Centrally, a group of people surrounding German prisoners of war in front of a tenement house in Jasna Street in Warsaw after the PAST building was captured by the insurgents; at the bottom, a flag in the colours of the Republic of Poland, on the left of the flag, the inscription: 80. / ROCZNICA / WYBUCHU / POWSTANIA / WARSZAWSKIEGO (80^th Anniversary of the Outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising). Along the top, a rectangular plane filled with microtext inscriptions: POWSTANIEWARSZAWSKIE1944 (WarsawUprising1944). In the middle of the plane, an image of the Eagle established as the national emblem of the Republic of Poland and the inscription: NARODOWY / BANK POLSKI; on the right of the inscription, the letter: W, in the left corner, vertically, the number: 20, made up of digits at a right angle. Below the Eagle, the inscription: Warszawa, 10 stycznia 2024 r. (Warsaw, 10 January 2024); below it, the inscriptions: Prezes (Governor) and a signature and Główny / Skarbnik (Chief Treasurer). Along the left edge of the banknote, vertically, a notation of the numbering. In the left bottom corner, markings for the blind – vertically, the embossed number: XX made up of digits at a right angle. On the left of the number 20, inscription: DWADZIEŚCIA ZŁOTYCH (twenty złoty). In the background of the banknote, the inscriptions: 1 VIII, 1944, and the symbol of Fighting Poland.

The back of the note:

on the left, silhouettes of insurgents with rifles against the background of a fragment of ruined buildings in Krakowskie Przedmieście Street in Warsaw; in the left bottom corner, the number: 20 composed of the inscriptions: 1VIII1944; below the number, the inscription: DWADZIEŚCIA / ZŁOTYCH (twenty złoty). On the right, a field altar during the mass celebrated by Capt. Rev. Mieczysław Paszkiewicz in the courtyard in Poznańska Street in Warsaw; its background is made up of the inscriptions: 1 VIII, 1944, NBP and the Fighting Poland Symbol, a shield with an image of an eagle, a cross and a flag. Along the upper part, a rectangular plane with microtext inscriptions: NARODOWYBANKPOLSKI20ZŁOTYCH. On the right, the inscription: NARODOWY BANK POLSKI; on the left, the inscription: BANKNOTY EMITOWANE PRZEZ / NARODOWY BANK POLSKI / SĄ PRAWNYM ŚRODKIEM / PŁATNICZYM W POLSCE (Banknotes issued by Narodowy Bank Polski / are legal tender in Poland), and the letter: W. On the left, a fragment of the record from 1 August 1964, from Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński’s book Pro memoria: “ZE CZCIĄ WSPOMINAMY GORĄCĄ WIARĘ DZIECI I MŁODZIEŻY WARSZAWSKIEJ, KTÓRA Z ŻARLIWOŚCIĄ WALCZYŁA O PROMYKI WOLNOŚCI. CZEŚĆ GŁĘBOKA DLA OFIARNEJ KRWI” (We reverence the memory of the passionate faith of the children and youth of Warsaw who ardently struggled for rays of freedom. We pay tribute to their sacrificial blood). The background of the banknote is composed of a guilloche and the Fighting Poland Symbol.

• The customer pays the full amount due for the order, including shipping, by bank transfer, within 7 days of receipt of the order confirmation,
• The delivery is effected via courier to the address as indicated by the customer in the order form,
• The delivery is effected within the territory of the Republic of Poland,
• The collector items purchased in the online shop are shipped in special Security packages,
• Time of delivery – up to 7 operating days as of the receipt of payment for the ordered collector items,
• The delivery is effected via courier when its total value do not exceed 25,000 PLN (gross).

1. An individual recipient may return the collector items purchased at the online shop within 14 days from the date of their delivery by courier service or their collection at the NPB Regional Branch in Warsaw.
2. Returns of collector items shall be made at the customer’s expense to the following address: Narodowy Bank Polski, ul. Świętokrzyska 11/21, 00-919 Warszawa, with a note „Sklep internetowy” (”Online shop”), by post or courier service; NBP refunds the shipping cost in accordance with paras. 3 and 4.
3. The return of collector items by courier shall be made in intact, original security packages and must be accompanied by the cash register receipt. NBP shall, within 14 operating days from the date of the delivery of the collector items to the address specified in para. 2:
   1. refund the equivalent of the amount due together with the shipping costs:
      1. via bank transfer to the bank account from which the payment originated or
      2. to the card used for making payment.

    

   2. send a correcting invoice – where a document confirming the sale is a VAT invoice – to the correspondence address or e-mail address indicated by the customer.

 

4. The return of collector items collected at the NBP Regional Branch in Warsaw shall be made together with the fiscal receipt. NBP shall, within 14 operating days from the date of collection of the collector items:
   1. refund the equivalent of the amount due:
      1. via bank transfer to the bank account from which the payment originated or

       

      2. to the account of the card used for payment, or

       

      3. in cash at the NBP Regional Branch in Warsaw.

    

   2. send a correcting invoice – where a document confirming the sale is a VAT invoice – to the correspondence address or e-mail address indicated by the customer.
